TISAX (Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange)
TISAX
The Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) is managed and overseen by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA).
The TISAX Assessment was created by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) in collaboration and partnership with the Automotive Association in Europe, also known as the European Network Exchange (ENX). The VDA refined the TISAX assessment to control map to ISO 27001/ 27002 using its principles of risk management, continuous improvement, and structured security processes — as well as adding sector-specific requirements such as handling of prototypes, third-party data exchange, and supplier security.
Tau is currently assessed at TISAX Level 3 (AL3) — the highest certification level audited for the handing of very sensitive and strictly confidential information (including prototypes, advanced design data, and strategic R&D) — which can be accessed via the TISAX ENX Portal.
